Hi Group,
If you are seeking a local organization to support those suffering from the
hurricane you might consider this church.
Also, a local family had a house burn.  They were trying to remain in the house
but the fire marshall considered it a hazard and has been turned off their
meter - the mother and children have no place to live.  Anybody aware of an
economical rental house or duplex (3 br) for low income family?

Jolene

Dear Friends:

I’m sure you’ve heard all about the unprecedented devastation caused by
Hurricane Sandy. Thousands of families have been displaced from their homes and
are living in motels far from their friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, this
leaves many people with few options for Thanksgiving dinner other than food
banks or cooking on a motel hot plate.

Often, a holiday is when the pain of a tragic loss hits the hardest. We want to
make sure that every displaced family has somewhere to go on Thanksgiving Day.

My friends and I saw a need, so we partnered with St. Ann’s Parish in Wildwood,
NJ and the local Days Inn (where some of the families are housed) to quickly put
together a special Thanksgiving Day dinner.

While so much has been generously donated by the local businesses, we still need
to raise $2500 to cover the rest of the cost, such as side dishes and desserts.

A $25 gift serves a complete Thanksgiving dinner to a family of 5.  Can you
contribute $25, $35, $50 or even $100?  $100 will provide a special Thanksgiving
dinner for 20 people!  Please click here to contribute.

Any amount goes a long way!

Your donation is tax deductible through St. Ann's Parish in Wildwood, NJ

For credit card donations, please clickhere for Hurricane Sandy Holiday Relief.

Please mail checks made payable to St. Ann Parish at the church office, and put
"Hurricane Sandy Holiday Relief Dinner” in the memo.

Or if you're local, contributions can be dropped off in person to:     St. Ann
Parish
                                                                       2900
Pacific Ave.
                                                                       Wildwood,
NJ 08260

Donations received after Thanksgiving will be put towards outstanding costs, or
rolled over to Christmas relief efforts.

Additionally, you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will go directly
to Holiday Relief efforts. We've established an oversight committee of local
professionals to audit all donations.   It's sad that because of scams and
abuse, such measures must be taken, but we don't mind taking the extra steps to
provide you with this peace of mind when it comes to your charitable donations.

Thank you for your consideration.
God bless you and yours this Thanksgiving!

Christine
