Hi,
Just wanted to let all of you know that my appt went well today.  They actually decided it was a benign cyst on my thryoid gland and that it wasn't even necessary to do the biopsy.  They will check it again in a year, but the doctor was confident that all was well.  Thanks so much for all your kind words and prayers.  I have felt very cared for by all of you.
It has been a good time of reflection for me.  For better or worse, I had mentally prepared myself for the worst of news and tried to use this time to disabuse myself of the notion that I was ever "safe" from any worldly danger, but that my real health and safety is in Jesus.  Some of this was probably good and maybe some of it a little too fatalistic.
It's easy to praise Him now on this side of good news, but I hope He used this time to help my heart to trust in his goodness and know His peace a little more than I did before.
