[Gospelchristianity] Skaggs Update

Courtney and I went to see the Skaggs yesterday.  Do continue to pray for them.  Charlie appears to be responding to the third combination of medications it causes him to sleep almost continuously.  It is difficult for them to know what "normal" is going to be like since he was already exhausted and it might take time to reduce the medication and time to see how his body adapts.

God has ministered to them through his Word and people.  Austin felt that he was really about to trust that God loved Charlie as his own and therefore trusted God to do what was good.  I didn't get to talk to Jessica as much, but you can imagine a mother's heart-break to see her child suffering and be so uncertain about what his future would be like.

They were encouraged that the seizures were not even close to the type that would damage his brain on a short term basis.  Their struggle now is to find a medication that controls the seizures and deal with the side effects.

Keep praying for them and showing them your love.  Jessica's family has now left, so I am sure a visit would be welcome.
